A RALLY co-driver from North Wales is set to navigate in a major motorsport event with a YouTube and\u00a0Top Gear<\/em>\u00a0star in the driver’s seat.<\/p>\n Brynmor Pierce, from Rhosesmor, in Flintshire, will be giving directions to Chris Harris – who presents the popular BBC show alongside Paddy McGuinness and Freddie Flintoff – when they compete in the Roger Albert Clark Rally this November.<\/p>\n As well as his TV commitments, Harris has been a regular on the motorsport scene and has competed in events both off road and on track over the last few years.<\/p>\n The pair will tackle the mammoth five-day event in a Ford Escort Mk2, with the event beginning at Carlisle Auction Mart on Thursday, November 25.<\/p>\n Forty two-year-old Brynmor said: “It really was a lovely surprise to get the call from Chris a few months ago, looking forward to carrying on our rallying partnership, which started nearly 10 years ago.<\/p>\n “The RAC is a bucket list event for anyone in rallying, having been lucky to do it three times previously, it’ll be a great pleasure to share this adventure with Chris.<\/p>\n “Having started competing myself 25 years ago on the lanes of Wales, it seems fitting that this year’s RAC finishes here within the Principality.<\/p>\n “Indeed it’s five years since Chris last did a rally, when we won our class driving for Toyota on the Mid Wales stages.”<\/p>\n Harris first shot to fame on YouTube through his\u00a0Chris Harris on Cars<\/em>\u00a0channel, then becoming a regular face on\u00a0Top Gear<\/em>\u00a0in 2016 alongside a number of other hosts, including\u00a0Friends<\/em>\u00a0star Matt Le Blanc and Rory Reid.<\/p>\n The first three days of the event will all be based in the Cumbrian city. Friday then sees the crews head for stages including Chirdonhead, Falstone and Pundershaw in the middle of Kielder Forest, while Saturday sees the rally head for several tests over the Scottish border after departing from Carlisle earlier in the day.<\/p>\n The rally restarts on the Sunday from Welshpool, then carries on in Wales for two more days of action before finishing at Carmarthen on the afternoon of Monday, November 29.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.lhmotorsport.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/295439802-300x225.jpeg\")
